FLO Talanoa digital resource – B.R.A.V.E

To mark World Suicide Prevention Day on 10 September, Le Va launched a digital resource called ‘B.R.A.V.E’, showcasing Pasifika young people making a plea for all to listen to what they have to say about suicide prevention.

SPARX; a new self-help online tool for young people

SPARX is a free computerised self-help program designed for young people aged 12 to 19 with mild to moderate depression. SPARX is unique as it incorporates a virtual fantasy setting with the use of graphics  to complete seven modules where young people learn Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) skills.

Drua Fono 2015

The annual Drua fono occurs every year as a preconference meeting to the sector-wide Cutting Edge Addictions Conference. Facilitated by Le Va and supported by Matua Raki, this year we met in Nelson to share updates from the network, as well as information and innovative solutions that are working in the addiction sector for our Pasifika families.

FLO Programme celebrates World Suicide Prevention Day

September 10 is World Suicide Prevention Day (WSPD). This year the theme is ‘Preventing Suicide: Reaching Out and Saving lives’.  WSPD is an initiative of the International Association for Suicide Prevention (IASP) and the World Health Organisation (WHO).
