Study public health in 2016
Online applications for fees grants/travel subsidies supporting the 2016 Massey University Certificate in Public Health are NOW OPEN.
What is the Certificate in Public Health?
The Certificate in Public Health is a part-time, distance learning programme offered by the Massey University School of Public Health. After launching in 2014 it is now entering its third year. It is designed to be engaging and achievable for students who have not previously completed higher education courses and those who have entered the public health workforce from other disciplines. It can be completed over one or two years. Fees grants are available for those in public health roles until 2018. Providers must make a formal commitment through a Study Support Agreement to support and encourage their staff to complete the qualification.
Fees grants /travel subsidies
The Ministry will provide full fees grants (NZ citizens and residents) and also travel assistance for NGO staff who need to fly to attend contact courses in Auckland or Wellington. Uptake will be monitored annually, and eligibility criteria may change, if required.
For more information and to apply for a fees grant go to the public health workforce development website. Places are limited so apply now.
