This workshop aims to equip the Access and Choice workforce with the knowledge and skills to recognise and respond to mental health challenges encountered in Pasifika Primary Mental Health and Addiction services.

A foundational level training for anybody working within Pasifika Mental Health and Addiction.

This training is free for people working in Pacific Primary Mental Health and Addiction services. There may be a cost for those who don’t meet the eligibility criteria.

Is this training for you?

This training was developed for the Pasifika Access and Choice/Primary Mental Health and Addiction workforce across Aotearoa. As a foundational training, it is designed for anybody working in these sectors.

Registration is by invitation for those who meet the workforce eligibility criteria.

The training has been developed for individuals who:

  • work in any role within Pasifika Primary Mental Health and/or
  • support Pasifika people to manage mental health and addiction challenges.

Description

Navigating Mental Health participants will:

  • increase knowledge of holistic wellbeing, depression and anxiety
  • gain skills to support Pasifika people to enhance their holistic wellbeing
  • practice skills to deliver culturally appropriate education about common mental health challenges.
