Pasifika Suicide Prevention Community Fund

Empowering Pasifika families and communities to prevent suicide and to respond effectively when a suicide occurs.

The Le Va Pasifika Suicide Prevention Community Fund is aimed at preparing more Pasifika families and communities to prevent suicide and respond effectively if a suicide occurs.

The fund seeks to support Pasifika communities to effectively implement community-based initiatives so that families and communities are:

  • strongly connected
  • equipped with the skills to cope with distress
  • actively building resilience and reducing the risks of suicide
  • assisted in accessing support services
  • supported to build a strong cultural identity to enhance mental wellbeing

Applications for the latest round of the Le Va Pasifika Suicide Prevention Community Fund are now open!

The application closing date is Tuesday 3 March 2026 at 4pm.

We invite online applications for funding between $50,000 and $100,000, excluding GST.

Funded projects must be delivered in full between 14 May 2026 to 14 May 2027.

  • Applications open Tuesday 10 February 2026 at 12pm
  • Applications close Tuesday 3 March 2026 at 4pm
  • Shortlisted applicants will be notified by late April 2026
  • Contracting phase will start at the end of April 2026
  • Contract negotiation meetings will be held early May 2026 for successful applicants
  • Projects must be delivered between 14 May 2026 and 14 May 2027
  • Recipients must be able to attend the induction days on 28 & 29 May 2026
