2024 Polyfest Mental Health and Wellbeing Survey: Youth insights report

Le Va, a Pasifika-led organisation dedicated to mental health and wellbeing, conducted a survey at Polyfest 2024 to gain insights into the mental health needs and support preferences of New Zealand youth aged 16-24 years.

The survey aimed to explore key factors affecting youth mental health, identify preferred coping strategies and determine youth-preferred support platforms.

Responses from 1,150 participants highlighted critical mental health and social needs among Pasifika, Māori and other diverse youth populations.
