Healing stories

The following videos emphasise the message that suicide is preventable and lives can be saved.

These stories challenge the status quo by shedding light on a ‘tapu’ subject often not talked about within Pasifika communities. They provide insights into personal experiences that connect individual past events to the present, as well as to a desired future.

Express yourself film competition videos

Le Va’s ‘Express Yourself’ short film competition was a call to action for budding actors and directors to showcase ‘Intergenerational Communication’. Check out the winners.

Overall winner – ‘What I’m trying to say’ by the UC Pasifika Development Team.

Runner-up – ‘Elephane’ by Shekynah Clarke.

B.R.A.V.E. video

Young people preventing suicide by asking you to listen to their plea. Be ‘B.R.A.V.E’ for our Pasifika youth, watch and share this video to be informed of how you can prevent youth suicide.

Aunty Dee

Aunty Dee is an online wellbeing tool that helps people cope with stressful life experiences through support with problem solving. Aunty Dee was designed and developed by Le Va and launched in March 2016. To view more videos about Aunty Dee check them out the Le Va YouTube channel.
