Common Ground
Common Ground offers a place of support for young people. It uses video stories to show that every family has different challenges to overcome, and different ways of dealing with those challenges.
The Lowdown
Information and resources on depression for young people.
Young people can email: team@thelowdown.co.nz or free text 5626 (emails and text messages will be responded to between 12 noon and 12 midnight).
SPARX
SPARX is a computerised self-help program for young people aged 12 to 19 with mild to moderate depression. it incorporates a virtual fantasy setting with the use of graphics. You customise your virtual character which you then use to complete seven modules which teach Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) skills, such as how to relax, talk to people about feelings and how to solve problems.
SPARX is free to use and completely confidential.
