Resources and research

During times of stress, many people will find themselves feeling worried, frustrated, irritable and even angry. These are all normal reactions.

Initially developed to support people through COVID-19 lockdowns, these resources are useful during any stressful time you may be facing such as severe weather events, housing or employment challenges, financial stress, accident/illness of a loved one, or times of grief.

What we do with our feelings is important. If we “catch ourselves” to avoid acting out our negative feelings, we respect our household and maintain healthy relationships with our loved ones.

When you “catch yourself” it can be the difference between making life easier for ourselves and our families, or causing more harm to our families and relationships.

Download and share our culturally-appropriate and evidence-based #CatchYourself factsheets on how to maintain respectful relationships during challenging times.
