Sharing Pasifika values across Christchurch

It is important that our Engaging Pasifika cultural competency programme meets the needs of mainstream health professionals in attendance; sometimes this requires working in #collaborACTION with key people within organisations in each region.

Last month we had the opportunity to collaborate in Christchurch with public health organisation Sports Canterbury and mental health and addictions service Emerge Aotearoa. It was with great privilege to be welcomed by a Le Tautua alumni, Nonumalo Vito Nonumalo, who was also one of the first staff members of Le Va. We acknowledge the significant contribution he had in the early planning phases of the Engaging Pasifika programme. Check out photos from our Christchurch workshops on Facebook.

Our next available workshop is a disability focused one, scheduled for 28 September. Email engagingpasifika@leva.co.nz to express your interest or check out our schedule to find out when a workshop will be delivered near you.
