2019 Pasifika public health grants

Our Public Health programme of work is guided by the Ministry of Health priorities, as outlined in Taeao o Tautai: Pacific Public Health Workforce Development Implementation Plan. In particular, our efforts are on reducing inequalities in health outcomes by developing a capable workforce.

The Pasifika public health grants strengthen the Pasifika public health workforce, by encouraging and supporting Pasifika already working in the public health workforce to study and gain relevant qualifications.

Le Va is proud to confirm that four high-quality recipients were successful last month in receiving a 2019 Pasifika public health grant.

  • Melissa Gardener (Whitireia Polytechnic)
  • Gloria Finau (Massey University)
  • Kjersti Faraimo (University of Otago)
  • Audrey Taupule Pe’o-Tofaeono (University of Auckland)
