Musu Tapu Sitagata

Samoan Language Lecturer, University of Auckland

Musu Tapu Sitagata, also known by his orator title Musuiaiga from Lotofaga, is a passionate educator and advocate for Samoan language and culture. He is currently a lecturer in Gagana Samoa at the University of Auckland and previously taught Samoan language at Manukau Institute of Technology (MIT) from 2018 to 2023.

Having completed a Masters in Applied Indigenous Knowledge, Musu focuses on Samoan history, oratory, and genealogy. Beyond teaching, he shares cultural insights through social media and community engagement, inspiring others to embrace their Samoan roots. His work has been recognized by the Ministry for Pacific Peoples, highlighting his commitment to preserving Fa’asamoa for future generations.
