
Mariner Fagaiava
Journalist and Broadcaster
Mariner Fagaiava is an award-winning journalist and broadcaster of Samoan (Iva, Vaisaulu, Lepa, Saleaula) and Tongan (Nukunuku) heritage.
He has worked for several media outlets, including at Radio New Zealand where he led its coverage of the Dawn Raids government apology.
After hosting Flava’s high-rating Drive show, he moved into a communications role with Pacific-led PHO The Cause Collective. Mariner is deeply passionate about Moana peoples unleashing their intrinsic storytelling abilities within the media landscape.
