Liz Tanielu

Liz Tanielu has always been community driven from the get go. She is the Chief Advisor Partnerships with Te Puna Aonui, supporting the Interdepartmental Executive Board comprising chief executives from nine government agencies responsible for the implementation of Te Aorerekura – the National Strategy to Eliminate Family Violence and Sexual Violence.

Previous roles include being the Programme Manager Department of Prime Minister and Cabinet in the development of the country’s first Child and Youth Wellbeing Strategy; General Manager Pacific in Oranga Tamariki; General Manager Pacific Investing in Communities that set up Oranga Tamaraki; the National Director Pacific Community Investment in the Ministry of Social Development; she was also the Director of Family Violence at MSD.

Prior to this she operated her own business for over a decade working in the NGO, philantropic, community and government sectors, including serving on several ministerial appointed and community led governance boards.
