IDEA Services provides support to people with intellectual disabilities at home, at work and in daily living. We are seeking a part time support worker to do 15-25 hours per week in the Waikato area.
Often people with intellectual disabilities will need support to do tasks such as shopping, going out, showering and catching public transport. The hours include weekends, evenings and sleepovers.
Applicants will:
- remain calm in unpredictable situations
- be confident communicators
- have experience or have an interest in the disability sector
- work well in a team and independently.
