Employment consultants ACC focus

  • Full-time (40 hours per week)
  • Waikato


Are you experienced in the mental health, disability or employment sectors? Do you hold an appropriate level 4 or higher qualification in rehabilitation, return to work or allied health areas? Are you responsive, great at creating relationships and results focused? Do you believe that purpose brings health and wellbeing? If so, this could be the position for you!

In this role you’ll directly support people with experience of mental illness or serious injury to return to work and stay at work – that’s work they really want with an employer who sees and values their skills and potential. It’s about supporting people to reach their employment aspirations – whatever they may be. You’ll work closely with ACC teams, social development agencies, community mental health services, other non-government organisations and of course, employers. Ideally you’ll be able to demonstrate:

  • strong skills and relevant experience in the field of disability and/or employment
  • exceptional relationship building and communication skills
  • innovative and problem-solving thinking
  • a focus on responsiveness, relationships and results
  • a client-focused approach
  • excellent time management and organisation skills
  • strong computer skills.
