The Specialist Mental Health Services’ Training Unit supports the development and delivery of adult-focused education of mental health professionals. We’re looking for an educator and a clinical educator with proven skills in the development and evaluation of education programs and resources.

You will support staff trainers to develop and deliver high quality training courses to staff within the Specialist Mental Health Service at the CDHB.

We have two part-time roles. The clinical educator will be a registered health professional with more than five years mental health experience and at least two years experience of formal education delivery. The educator role is open to people who are not registered or qualified health professionals but have a minimum of two years formal education delivery experience and are passionate about mental health.

We’re looking for dynamic, critical thinkers who will engage mental health professionals in learning. You will demonstrate leadership skills and successfully facilitate group discussions and learning. These roles have a quality focus where you will work with your colleagues in the Training Unit and with professional leaders and staff trainers to develop and review evidence based education programs and resources.

To be successful in these roles you will need to enjoy working in a quality driven team. You will have a great sense of humour and be engaging. You will be self motivated and well organised.
