Cornwall House is a Community Mental Health Service based in Greenlane Clinical Centre. The Centre has an excellent reputation for providing effective acute services and a range of high quality therapeutic programmes with a strong multi disciplinary focus.

CAS provides a comprehensive range of therapeutic treatment options offering and providing intensive home support to Service Users and their families / whanau as an alternative to in patient admission. As a key member of this professional, dedicated team, you’ll be assessing and managing the needs of Service Users that are referred to the service with an acute mental health presentation and increased risk. Being a confident communicator and decision maker with strong nursing competencies are imperative.

This would suit someone who has worked in Community Mental Health setting, dedicated to empowering and enabling clients. High level of time management and organisational skills required. Successful applicant will be supported to achieve / maintain PDRP portfolio.

This role is not suitable for New Graduate applications.

You will need to be a Duly Authorised Officer or willing to train to fulfil this requirement within the first year of employment. Ideally you'll be a RPN/ RCpN familiar with crisis/ acute work within a community mental health service. A full and clean NZ driver's licence is essential in this community based role.

There are permanent, full time (1.0FTE) and part time (0.8FTE) positions. You will be part of the CAS Roster (24/7 cover, 365 days a year), a fully rotating roster including morning, afternoon and night shifts, Monday to Sunday, based in Greenlane Clinical Centre.
