2010 Scholarship recipients
Friday, 11 December 2009 was a day of much excitement and activity for Le Va. Le Va hosted the 42 scholarship recipients for 2010 at Auckland Rydges Hotel at a scholarship recipient workshop, followed by a reference group meeting with Le Leo o Le Va and our annual awards dinner where we presented the scholarships to the successful recipients.

2010 Recipient's workshop
Scholarship recipients for 2010 attended a one-day workshop that covered the requirements of the scholarships, their responsibilities as scholarship recipients and the mentoring support available to them during their studies. The workshop included a presentation by Le Va and keynote guest speaker Andrew Clements.
Awards dinner
The awards dinner was a great success! The event was attended by recipients, their support people and many leaders in the Pacific and health community such as Minister of Pacific Island Affairs Hon Georgina te Heuheu; Dr Francis Agnew, Te Pou board member; Robyn Shearer, Te Pou chief executive; Dr Api Talemaitoga, chief advisor of Pacific health; as well as other key stakeholders from the Pacific health sector.
Le Va was also pleased to officially launch the Pacific Health Workforce Awards at the scholarships dinner. Le Va is happy to work alongside the Ministry of Health in administering the awards. For further information visit the Pacific Health Workforce Awards website.
