Background

Pacific Health Dialog is the premier international journal for Pacific health issues.

In June 2008, Le Va put out a call for papers inviting submissions of original papers and reviews on all aspects of Pacific mental health and addiction - particularly from any individual or group of individuals who actively participate in either providing or enhancing the provision of mental health and addiction services or care of Pacific service users.

The closing date for submissions was 30 September 2008.

Manuscripts were accepted for publication only with the understanding that they had not been published or submitted for publication elsewhere. All manuscripts were peer reviewed before being accepted for publication.

The response from potential contributors was overwhelmingly positive. We peer-reviewed 20 high quality original articles and discussion papers, and sent them to the editorial team of the Journal for publication.
