International Initiative for Mental Health Leadership (IIMHL)

Connecting with other leaders in mental health and coming together as Pacific leaders is key to developing leaders and services.

The IIMHL is a joint endeavour involving eight countries, and aims to facilitate the sharing of best practices and to provide needed support and collaboration for leaders of mental health services to develop robust and effective managerial and operational practices. The ultimate aim is to improve services for people who use them.

The IIMHL Exchange places leaders for two to three days with "like leaders" from a host country to learn and share experiences, and to form further collaborative partnerships while working on system reform in their own countries. The exchange is followed by a two-day working conference, which addresses key international programmes facilitated and stimulated by IIMHL.
