2008 Recipients
Three innovative and exciting projects were funded by Le Va through the Fakatu-amelie Innovation Fund in the 2008 round.
We are pleased to bring you details about the successful applications and programmes that will be run with Fakatu'amelie funding.
- Malologa Trust (Auckland) - for the development and publication of the Popao strengths-based recovery model.
- Waipuna Youth and Community Trust (Christchurch) - for the development of a guideline focusing on self-development for young Pacific people.
- Waitemata District Health Board (Pacific mental health and addictions service in Auckland) - supporting the first national Pacific service user conference to be held in early May 2009 with both regional and national network development.
All three projects are well underway. There is great potential for each project to have positive impacts on the sector through the development of new models, tools, resources and networks.
Le Va is working closely with all three successful applicants to the fund, so watch this space for further updates!
