Over the last four years Le Va’s portfolio has expanded to include Pacific workforce development initiatives and national coordination services in Pacific mental health, disability support, general health and addictions.
There are some universal Pacific issues that transcend these sectors, but to date there have been scarce opportunities for the sectors to focus on an integrated approach and collective solutions. With this challenge in mind, Le Va is proud to announce its inaugural national fono: GPS 2012 - Growing Pacific Solutions for our families.
The fono provides a unique opportunity to bring together champions, that lead innovative and evidence-based integrated solutions to meet the needs of our Pacific families in New Zealand. We are delighted to introduce our international keynote speakers Professor Joseph Betancourt (Harvard) and Professor Toeolesulusulu Damon Salesa (University of Michigan). Be prepared to be inspired by our esteemed local guest speakers Dr Mary English and Rhodes Scholars, Dr Jeremy Stanley and Alex Fala.
This conference is about navigating uncharted waters with ancient knowledge and contemporary technology, discovering new points of destinations for Pacific and new ways of working. Please visit the Le Va website for further information and to register online.
