Our logo

The Le Va symbol is a collection of Pacific motifs portraying the strong and respectful relationships between people, organisations, communities and societies that are maintained by Va, and it conveys Le Va as a Pacific organisation. It also draws upon the colours and shapes from the natural environments of the Pacific Islands.

Grow

The brown roots firmly embedded in the earth reference our genealogical roots, identity, and provide the foundations for good growth. This symbol represents the work we carry out focussing on building strong foundations for a sustainable workforce.

Grow.

Engage

The orange frangipani is a feminine image depicted in siapo tapa cloth and, historically, in pre-Polynesian lapita pottery motifs. It represents beauty and power.  The work we lead in this area is about enhancing the ‘beauty’ of services so that they are more responsive for our Pasifika families.

Engage.

Lead

The green leaves reaching to the sky represent new life, hope, blue-sky-thinking and innovation.  Our work here focuses on fostering vibrant Pacific leaders and creating space for systems transformation.

Lead.

Inform

The star, the colour of the night sky, is a masculine image that refers to the skilled navigators of the Pacific who would use the sun, stars, wind, waves and clouds to voyage and discover new lands.  By producing new information that is accessible for Pacific people, we aim to create a constellation of stars to navigate uncharted waters.

Inform.

The white space represents Va, connecting four interdependent and inter-relational circular dimensions.

Overall, the symbol demonstrates that relationships are not unidirectional, but mutually linked and reciprocal, and that the space between, is not space that separates but space that relates.
